Port Cabo Rojo has been selected as one of three finalists for Port of the Year at the Seatrade Cruise Awards 2026, recognizing the growth and potential of Pedernales and the Dominican Republic within the international cruise industry.

This recognition highlights the development of Pedernales as a new tourism hub in southern Dominican Republic, driving cruise passenger arrivals, creating new opportunities for the local economy, and contributing to the development of the region.

This achievement reflects the vision and leadership of Mauricio Hamui, CEO of ITM Group, as well as the commitment of our strategic partners, cruise lines, authorities, and the Pedernales community.

The Seatrade Cruise Awards 2026 ceremony will take place on September 16, as part of Seatrade Cruise Med, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
