Our second time at Seatrade Cruise Med was a memorable occasion. Celebrated every two years, this edition highlighted the Mediterranean as a rising destination for luxury and expedition cruising, infrastructure transformation, and innovative technology.

From September 16 to 17, Las Palmas Cruise Port in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, was the perfect setting to gather more than 2,000 attendees, including industry experts, leaders, cruise lines, port destinations, suppliers, and more, to share all about new destinations, high-end cruise trends, and, of course, to create lasting connections among the community.

This time, Booth #1B40 offered a glimpse into what’s next for ITM Group, highlighting two exciting projects on the horizon: our soon-to-open Port Samana in the Dominican Republic and our first project in the Mediterranean, Port Melilla.

Beyond showcasing our upcoming destinations, the booth became a space to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships. At ITM Group, we believe in the power of bringing people together and creating meaningful spaces for conversation, and it was an honor to welcome our friends, partners, and new connections throughout the event.

During this edition, the 20th Anniversary of the Seatrade Cruise Awards was commemorated. This occasion is especially significant because our second project in the Dominican Republic, Port Cabo Rojo, was one of three finalists for the Port of the Year award. We are grateful for this recognition that will continue to inspire us to keep growing, improving, and creating an even stronger destination.

Our Director of BSI, Carla Desentis, moderated this important conversation, where the panelists shared their experience, perspectives, and commitment to advancing the future of sustainable ports:

- Esther Molina Crespo | Manager, Suncruise Andalucia | President of the CESUR Tourism Committee
- Jose Garcia Fuentes | President, Port Authority of Motril
- Luis Ayala | Director, Port Authority of Melilla
- Veronica Verdesoto Gomez | Operations Director and Head of the Commercial Services Department, Puertos del Estado

Because sustainable ports are about protecting the ocean, creating thriving communities, fostering collaboration, and building shared opportunities for the future.
And that’s a wrap on an inspiring two days at Seatrade Cruise Med 2026!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and made this edition so memorable. From long-standing partners and industry colleagues to new faces and new conversations, every meeting contributed to an inspiring exchange of ideas and opportunities.
We’re grateful for the time, trust, and enthusiasm you shared with us, and we look forward to continuing these conversations and turning them into new possibilities.
