Seatrade Cruise Global 2025 proved to be an exceptional event—a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and strategic vision driving the future of the cruise industry. This edition held particular significance as it marked the 40th anniversary of Seatrade, reaffirming its position as the leading platform for global industry leaders to convene.

With more than 600 exhibitors and over 11,000 attendees from around the world, the event once again solidified its role as the premier forum for building strategic alliances, generating business opportunities, and exchanging key insights on the trends shaping the industry.

For ITM Group, a proudly Mexican company with over 30 years of experience in the comprehensive development of tourism destinations, hospitality, and cruise ports across the Mexican Caribbean and other regions of the world, the experience was incredibly enriching. With a presence in eight key destinations across Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Europe, ITM Group used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to responsible tourism, sustainability, and continuous innovation—while also strengthening strategic partnerships and identifying new global collaboration opportunities.

Featured Panel: “Let’s Talk Sustainability; Marine Life”

A standout moment of the event was the participation of ITM Group’s biologist, Alonso Reyes, who hosted the panel Let’s Talk Sustainability; Marine Life, facilitating a high-level dialogue on marine ecosystem preservation and responsible practices in the cruise industry.

The panel featured insightful contributions from:

  • Heike Naigur, Senior Director of Sustainability at Norwegian Cruise Line, and
  • Jill Stoneberg, Senior Director of Social Impact and Sustainability at Virgin Voyages,
    moderated by Carla Desentis, Corporate Strategy and Legal Director at ITM Group.

The session addressed crucial topics such as marine conservation, innovation in sustainability, and the need to adopt operational models that prioritize environmental wellbeing. The central message was clear: sustainability is not just a goal—it’s a shared responsibility.

Showcasing the Best of Our Destinations: Samaná and Cabo Rojo in Miami

ITM Group also made a strong impression on the exhibition floor, where its immersive and vibrant stand drew the attention of hundreds of attendees.

A major highlight was the photo set inspired by the Salto El Limón waterfalls in Samaná, which became one of the most shared attractions of the event thanks to its scenic beauty and its direct connection to the destinations we proudly represent.

In addition, updates on upcoming projects and ongoing developments were presented, reinforcing ITM Group’s vision of delivering unique and sustainable experiences for the modern traveler.

Beyond the educational sessions, Seatrade Cruise Global 2025 featured a conference agenda designed to educate, inspire, and update industry leaders on the latest trends, technologies, and regulatory developments.

The event offered numerous opportunities for connection—from strategic meetings to social activities that fostered collaboration among sector leaders. One such moment was a lively karaoke night that created a relaxed atmosphere and helped strengthen ties among attendees.

A Strong Presence in the Safety and Sustainability Panel To close an already successful week, Mariana Perrilliat, Corporate Vice President and Legal Advisor of ITM Group, participated in the Safety and Sustainability Panel, sharing her vision and leadership on the safe and sustainable management of port operations. Her participation underscored ITM Group’s institutional commitment to best practices in the industry and the continuous improvement of its operations.
