Commitment to the Community
Every step in the creation of Port Samana is guided by our core pillars, ensuring a solid, meaningful, and unique result.
- Sustainable Tourism: We implement initiatives like the elimination of single-use plastics through our Circular Ports program, and we promote environmental studies such as whale bioacoustics research in partnership with the Sorbonne University.
- Community Empowerment: We provide training to local guides in cruise tourism, support the Whale Observatory, and promote local craftsmanship as a pathway to economic development.
- Educational and Cultural Innovation: We collaborate with local foundations on projects such as the upcoming City of the Arts and seek to create learning spaces focused on environmental and cultural education for the future generation.
Port Samana is more than a port; it is a gateway to the future of responsible tourism in the Caribbean — a project that will attract new cruise lines, expand international tourism routes, and position Samana as a new global benchmark in cruise travel.
